Shipping

Here's everything you need to know about Dessert by Deb's shipping costs and policies:

Dessert by Deb ships within Canada and to the United States (for international, please email me at info@dessertbydeb.com to confirm if I currently have shipping enabled to your country! I ship to the UK and Australia most often but have also shipped to Germany, Switzerland, and Hong Kong in the past as well)
Effective August 29th, 2025: US tariffs have been instated by the US government and the de minimis exemption (parcels valued under $800) has been suspended and taken away, which means all purchases, orders, and shipments going into the US are subject to a 35% tariff charge. This money is paid upfront (rather than billed/collected at time of parcel delivery) at checkout and the money is remitted to the US government and customs by Zonos, who is partnered with Canada Post to ensure proper documentation.

PARCELS

parcels are generally shipped via UPS, Purolator, or Canada Post. Most of the time I ship with UPS as they're the fastest and most economical. I will ship with Purolator and Canada Post at times to more rural areas, and with Canada Post for PO boxes as couriers don't delivery to PO boxes. Effective January 19th, 2026: US parcels are shipped through Canada Post only as UPS has been banned from accepting food+drink shipments from Canada into the US.

Processing times: I generally need at least a week to get parcels packed and shipped (I'm a solopreneur and do everything all by my lonesome), at times more during new releases and holiday seasons. If you need a fast turnaround, email me in advance at info@dessertbydeb.com to give me a heads up and I'll try my best to prioritize it. Subscription boxes are shipped around the middle to 3rd week of the month. Make sure you're subscribed to emails and on the newsletter list to receive all shipping updates and timelines! This is how I communicate with everyone on a mass level to provide estimates and updates and how busy my order queue might be at a certain time.

Shipping within Canada: shipping starts at $10 within Ontario, $15 for the rest of Canada. Shipping is FREE for orders $65+. Use code sunshineandrainbows at checkout.

Shipping to United States: effective January 19th, 2026, I can do free shipping for orders $150+. Use code usteafriends at checkout. Before the US government put tariffs in place, I was offering free shipping with a lower minimum order, but with UPS no longer a shipping option for me (they were the most economical), I have to raise the minimum order for free shipping to make it worth everyone's while.

TRACKING

All orders are shipped with tracking numbers whether it's through UPS, Purolator, or Canada Post. When I generate a shipping label, a shipping confirmation email is sent to you with tracking information. My parcel pickups are not always on the same day that I generate the labels, so don't panic if you don't see your parcel moving or a tracking update right away. I might generate a shipping label on Monday and my pickup might be the Tuesday or Wednesday.
